Quality Picker (Former Employee) says"I found this job at UPM through a course and was asked to attend an induction day which would include a trial hour on the line. Little did I expect to be thrown straight into a 12 hour shift with no idea what I was meant to do and a bare minimum of preperation into health and safety procedures. I was treated like a number or a cog in the works rather than a person and even the supervisors treated me with derision when I didn't know what I was meant to be doing instead of helping me out. The conditions of the working area were very cramped and claustrophobic and dirty. I immediately knew this was not the place for me, and sadly, due to a combination of poor conditions and woeful management I am no longer interested in UPM or factory work in general. The one positive was that the salary was reasonably high.Reasonably High Salary.Poor Management, Poor working conditions"

Wasn't part of a team."
Portfolio Manager (Former Employee) says"Demanding, busy. Multi tasking, and changing paths in mid-stream was a typical day. Co-workers were wonderful, a family environment. Management worked along side employees. Although the work was stressful the office offered an environment where you could laugh, bounce ideas around, and vent when needed without being judged. This company is no longer in business."
Freelance Film Work (Former Employee) says"Very stressful and fast-paced on and off film sets, however a flexible schedule is a plus. Not always steady pay/income/jobs, which makes paying bills somewhat nervewracking at times."

Management was good, My co-workers where great to get along with and had a good laugh on and off shift. The hardest part of the job was getting the quality pick's that you need. The most enjoyable part of the job was having a joke with my co-workers.Good moneyLong hours, Not enough breaks"
